Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Alfreda, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I began my career in the mental health field after I completed my Bachelor of Psychology degree at Penn State University, and I continued my journey in the mental health field as a Social Worker following the completion of my Master of Social Work degree from Temple University. Throughout my 10 year career I have supported clients across several age groups in a multitude of areas, which include self-esteem, depression, trauma, anxiety, intellectual disabilities, eating disorders, ADHD, and more. I have always operated with the mindset of meeting the client where they are at, and helping them progress to where they are seeking to go.
Throughout my journey as a mental health professional, I have learned the importance of utilizing treatment modalities that highlight my clients strengths and positive attributes, while assisting them in their journey towards meeting their treatment goals. In order to support them in their journey, my approach includes the use of treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, strength-based, client-centered, and solution-focused therapy.
I view therapy as a collaborative effort, as I recognize that you, the client, are the expert in your own life. I am there to aid you, my client, towards your goals, by providing a safe and warm environment where you can feel free to express yourself. I strive to make every client’s treatment journey a unique experience, where they feel seen, heard, supported, and most importantly safe.
If you feel ready to make that first or next step towards reaching your goals, facing your fears, expressing and exploring yourself, or simply feel as though you need a safe space for yourself, then I am the therapist for you. I look forward to meeting you, connecting with you, and learning how I can best assist you in this next chapter of your life.
